Should I return my camera because of the flash?

the flash on my Panasonic Fz8 has malfunctioned twice since I got it a few weeks ago. The way it works is that you manually open the flash and it’s supposed to go. Well, on two occasions, it hasn’t worked. You manually pop up the flash, and the LCD gives the symbol of “no flash”. After a bit of time, it works. It has done this twice.

Should I return/exchange the camera? I love my camera when it works. I’m telling myself that if it happens again, I”m returning it. thanks for your advice.

The slow flash activation is one of the ways your camera manages your camera’s battery power. Keeping your LCD turned off unless absolutely needed is a way you can manage the cameras power as well as turning off your camera when you are between shooting sessions.
