FinePix Viewer for Mac does not read Fuji FinePix S1000fd?
Hey, I can not find help here, so I thought to ask. Well Fuji FinePix Viewer picked up in my camera once and successfully transferred the images to my computer but once I tried again, nothing appears. The camera is on, USB and displays on the screen, and the green activity light flashes for about 5 seconds and then stops. The program does not take it, and I restarted the computer program and a couple of times without success. Does anyone have a solution, or know of an alternative program that is compatible with my camera and a Mac to transfer images? Thank you.
Me just to solve a similar problem with my Finepix. The most likely problem is that you are connecting the USB cable. You may not use the keyboard USB port or an institution as is "without engine. "You need to connect directly to your computer in a port near where it connects to the keyboard in what is called" power "USB ports. Even when you do this, you probably will not see the camera appear as a unit, as some cameras or other devices do, but you should be able to upload images through iPhoto or the FinePix Viewer. I prefer iPhoto FinePix viewers how they can do more with their photos in terms of editing, effects special, etc and I also like the interface better. Once you start using iPhoto, you can set preferences to start automatically every time you connect your camera. My camera is a different model to yours (S2000HD) but I noticed a difference in how you activate when you connect to the computer. Instead of regular button on / off now I have to have a little arrow button for 5 seconds. Simply double-click the manual of how to activate the camera, if you have not already done so. Good luck – I love the cameras PIX fine and this is my second, but I've only had a few days.
