nikon zoom lenses for d5000
What is the difference between the Nikkor 35 mm and 50 mm Nikkor af-s?

Does that mean 35mm/50mm 35mm/50mm starts at like 18-55mm to 18mm start? Also that one of these lenses is best for my nikon d5000/d3000? I'm just going to shoot myself / friends / family / when going on vacation I do not want 18-55mm lens because it is not necessary or you want a zoom lens. I certainly fiffteen, and this is my first digital SLR.

Having never made a Nikon 35-50 mm lens, you will need to be more specific in your question. It could be that whoever is selling this objective, does not know what they actually have and in a cryptic was trying to inform potential buyers that the lens is 50 mm that was used on a 35mm SLR or full frame dSLR camera. The lenses have to buy for your good dSLR will be those that are AF-S. The AF-S 50 mm f / 1.4 is the main objective used by a lot of portrait and wedding photographers for shooting head and shoulder shots.
